Piceno LAG (english)
GALPICENO is a private company.
It's head-office is at Comunanza (AP) Italy.
It was created in 1996.
It's aim is the rural development of the Piceno's Province.
PICENO LAG manages the "LEADER" Program locally, since its creation - an european fund managed regionally by the Region Marche - Agriculture Department.

NATIONAL INTERNAL AREAS STRATEGY (SNAI)
The Internal Areas represent a large part of the Country very different inside, away from large agglomeration and service centers, with unstable development trajectories but with resources that are lacking at central areas. Italy in the National Reform Programme (NRP) has adopted a Strategy to stop the demographic loss and boosting development and the services of these areas through the Law ordinary funds Stability and Community funds. - here

REGIONAL REGULATION
The 10/06/2014 the Marche Region adopted the Regional Resolution DGR n ° 1126 for the implementation of the Internal Areas National Strategy and identification of 3 pilot areas, including the Piceno area.

THE ROLE OF GAL PICENO
The “Union Montana del Tronto and Valfluvione”, gave to the Piceno LAG the role of doing moderation and facilitation among local actors of the area of Ascoli Piceno, which includes the municipalities of: Acquasanta Terme, Arquata del Tronto, Carassai, Castignano, Comunanza, Cossignano, Force, Montalto delle Marche, Montedinove, Montegallo, Montemonaco, Offida, Palmiano, Roccafluvione, Rotella.

In the period September 2013 to May 2014, Brasov Agency for Sustainable Development (ADDJB) in partnership with the Local Action Group – Brasov North Transylvanian Association (GAL ATBN) and LAG Piceno scarl is implementing the project“Mobility in LEADER approach for the employees of the Local Action Group Brasov North Transylvanian Association - MobiLEAD” financed by the European Commission under the Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme—“Longlife Learning Programme”.
The main objective of the project is the development of professional skills in line with the needs identified for 5 employees of GAL ATBN. In this sense, the five attended a working placement for two weeks - from17th to 30th March 2014 - at an experienced LAG in Italy (LAG Piceno scarl).
Previous the working placement, the project implementation team organized linguistic, pedagogical and cultural training activities. In these activities, the employees of GAL ATBN who were selected to participate in the working placement received 32 hours of English course and participated in presentations made by the implementation team on the host organization, Leonardo programme and MobiLEAD project. The cultural preparation of the participants had two stages: one before the working placement, which consisted of presentations made by the project coordinator on the economic, social, cultural, historical and geographical environment of Italy and of Marche region; the second stage took place in Italy and consisted of sightseeing in the Marche region.
Each of the five employees of GAL ATBN received certifications on the level of competence achieved by participating in project activities: Europass Mobility Certificate certifying the skills acquired, validated by the host organization; a participation certificate and a letter of recommendation from Piceno scarl; Language skills certificate attesting the knowledge of English of the participants at the end of the English course.
